So I'm watching Wheel of Fortune the other night and it's a special college episode on location in Denver, featuring students from CU, CSU and the Air Force Academy. I turned to it as the girl from the Air Force Academy was struggling with the above puzzle. She spun the wheel -- nearly landing on bankrupt -- but the clicker wound up on a harmless $400. She asked for a "K."

Of course this ended her turn, the audience groaned and I howled. The CU guy solved the puzzle without spinning. Sajak said something like, "sometime the puzzles just don't jump out at people." Yeah, wh_tever.
