Greggity's Return to Blogworld. Noses on the Orange Line

I told Johnny P part of this story on Saturday evening. Essentially, I told him the first half and alluded to the rest. But I don't want anyone missing out.

I got a haircut Saturday afternoon before heading to Ebenezers. I get my haircut at Bubbles on Capitol Hill, so I roll from Clarendon to Capitol South. I was on the 'Tro and a weird, gray haired old woman boarded at Metro Center. Shortly after boarding, she began to pick her nose. She made no effort to conceal her efforts or disguise her task. And she really went for it -- she was in nearly to her second knuckle and she was scraping all around.

It's what she did after this that fascinated me and creeped me out at the same time. Let's just say it involved her mouth and the boogers, and she wasn't talking to them.

Remember National Lampoon's Vacation, when the dog pees on the sandwiches and Aunt Edna sort of shrugs and eats the sandwiches anyway? This woman gave a similar look.

By the way, it didn't happen just once. It was at least four occasions, and this was just in between Metro Center and Federal Center SW. That's what was most impressive.
