dex bids Carl adieu
So I guess I'll stay with the baseball theme.
Bravo Seattle Mariners for finally kicking Carl Everett off the squad.
Short Carl Everett story. Earlier this year Tracy and I attended a game at SafeCo with Tracy's parents. On one play Everett hit a grounder down the line towards first base and barely moved out of the box. Well Tracy's dad didn't like that sort of play at all, so we (along with 20 people sitting around us) heard about it the rest of the game. The next time Carl came to bat, "Hey Carl, do you need someone to run for you?! I'm at least as fast as your last effort, you big ninny!" And so on...
Another note is that the M's were playing the White Sox and I think most of the Sox fans around us were laughing because they had watched Everett do the same things as a member of their team the year before (although I think the World Series ring eased the pain).
Good riddance Carl. (Hey maybe the Nats will pick him up.)

As a Sox fan, I completely agree. I certainly enjoyed him when he played good ball, but his attitude really over-shadowed that more often than not. Good to see the M's make the move.
