Greggity’s sex on the phone

Please read this all the way through. It’s quite harmless, I assure you.

The Urban Dictionary defines a saxa-ma-phone this way:

1. Homer Simpson's pronunciation of saxophone, often sung to the tune of Beethoven's 5th Symphony.

At the worship team Christmas party I didn’t have a lot of ideas when we broke into our little teams to write our songs. Adrian (Jeremy's wife) and Kimberly were both on my team. Since Adrian and Kimberly had not met until then, Adrian mentioned that Jeremy plays saxaphone.

So I did Homer's "Saxa-ma-phone, saxa-ma-phone" thing and both Kimberly and Adrian looked at me very weird. It turned out they thought I had said, "sex on the phone, sex on the phone," and that I was suggesting that as potential lyrics for our song.

I suppose that would have made for an interesting song.

We had a good story, too. Our group was given The Flinstones theme. We were going to leave the ending line in place -- "You'll have a gay, old time". Afterwards, we'd shout "Not that there's anything wrong with that!" If only we'd done it .....
